"Whimsical poetry in song, tricksterish like the north country wind."

- Jeremy Siegrist of The Illogical Spoon

Bio

Lena Maude is a singer-songwriter and sketch artist known for her quirky presence that is both extremely playful and serious. Part kooky looping pop witchdoctor and part indiefolk singer-songwriter, Lena employs wide-ranging animalistic vocals, fingerpicking, electronics, found sound, and acoustic instruments to attempt to express the inexpressible. Her unfettered, heartfelt performances create ethereal environments that stir curiosity.

With origins in Michigan DIY scenes, Lena draws influence from esoteric reading, poetic singer-songwriters, small-town life, and the dream world. Grounded in nature and mystery, her lyrically introspective songs explore the tender condition of being alive while turning attention towards frightful beauty. Lena’s illustrations complement her music at live shows and in published materials.

You are invited to follow the audio-visual journey of exploring the stars of the hinter waters with a touch of cosmic humor. Lena’s whimsical folk album Just in Case Love is coming August 27.
